What a hoot! After getting in after 1:30 AM last night I thought we would be more tired today. It did start out that way. We got to bed around 2 and the alarm went off at 6am. The 4 hours felt like 1. We thought about sleeping in, but after laying there for an hour I decided to check the message queues. Processed a little email and saw a text from Trav and Hil. They were already mobile down in Corpus. We got up showered and left the house at 9am. We verified that thay would come through San Antonio and stop at the caverns bridge wildlife ranch. Everything was confirmed so we headed down to the ranch to get a visit in. After the ranch we headed back to the house and to avoid austin Friday traffic we took 21 out of San Marcus. We figured we would be going through Bastrop so we brought them to the burnt property as we sold it and it closes this week. After showing them the slow recovery of the 2011 wildfire we continued home. As we came through Elgin we stopped in at Myers BBQ to make sure that they had some Texas BBQ while on vacation.
We then finished the drive back to the house. We arrived home before 5:30 and after unloading we visited in the house until the humidity from the rain dropped enough to sit outside.
We had a great day and a super visit on the back porch.
Off to the airport tomorrow for their flight back to Wisconsin.
