Went to work. Yay! What a hoot! OK, seriously then. Just another normal day at work. I call a friend to on the way home to see how the new floor as coming along ( he is installing laminated wood floor in two rooms). He said he did not mind if I stopped over and helped. So I stopped over and assisted him for 3 hours. We made a big dent in it and have a good process in place now. I will help him when he is ready to continue. Of course not this weekend as we both have plans. I did get home about 9PM and there were no messes in the house from the dog. #:-S It looks like she is good if she is not sick. I just finished looking over the finances and now I’m headed to bed to read.
Month: July 2010
F1 Racing
Well it looks like F1 is coming to Austin.
F1 Track
I am not sure if this is a good thing But it will be about a mile of the house I owned in Austin.
A=Track, B=Old house, C=Bastrop House
As for it being a good or bad thing. It might help the city, but I think it will be at the expense of Del Valle community. When the races are done in 10 years what will come of the track? Also when the races are not going on what will the track be used for?
It will be interesting to see.
I hope that it affects the price of our Bastrop home in a good way as we are about 30 minutes from it.
We Got Rain
It was nice to see rain here today. At least this evening. Got about 1/4 of an inch.
The F1 Race track is scheduled to go in. To be ready by 2012.

Moving forward
I called the Realtor and informed him that I have representation, but he is out of town for a few weeks. I let him know my intentions and schedule to look at it this weekend on Saturday.
I also unplugged the pond pumps as it suppose to be cloudy and cooler so they should not be needed. When looking at the pond I noticed that the black fish is changing color and is half white at this time. There are still six larger fish and a few miniatures that will hopefully grow up. The large bog has a lot of algae in it and I have throwing a little in the pond each day for the fish to eat. We will probably skim it off and put it on the plants if it gets to be too much.
As there are possible storms in the area I will just watch some TV tonight.
Minolia and her move
We made it to Rockdale for 10 am and met with the owner. The place is OK. Minolia believes it to be a little small. It is compared to where she is. Although the price was right and Brian was willing to work with her, we do not think it was best for her.
I read an email today that arrived yesterday. The 100 acre farm has been reduced. Substantially! There is a good possibility that an offer will be made on it and accepted. Unfortunately our realtor is out on vacation for the next three weeks. I would get the best deal with him but may miss out on the property. Do I go with if it is gone that is what was suppose to happen? Or do I get another person to make sure if I loose it, it was not meant to be?
It will be very close on if the loan will go through since we help a friend with their car and we just purchased Susan’s car. Of course that is if they do the 28%, 36% thing that they followed in the past.
Well I need to just let the chips fall where they may. :-SS
This will not be the first time we lost out on a piece of property, although we were very upset that time also. I remember the old Lawyers house with all the woodwork, beautiful fireplace and staircase in Sparta WI. Oh so many years ago now. It is amazing how you remember things that are actually so frivolous.
Any way a little reading and then to sleep.
You know, the whole work thing in the morning.
