80 questions 3 wrong. It is boring and time consuming. Just glad I was able to surf the net while the timer was running and did not need to stay on the page. I browsed a lot of stuff I normally would not have. I identified a possible new job, watched youtube videos and made Google searches of worthless things.
The time saved speeding is usually chewed up when you get the long red lights of Austin so it really is not worth it. Although driving slow (the speed limit) does allow your mind to wander due to the boredom, I do not see this as a safety benefit so I am not really sure which is worse, the speeding or lack of attention due to boredom?

7th Unit
Only one unit left.
I seconded guessed again and changed from 4 feet and gone one wrong.
That makes 3 wrong out of 70. Not bad, but I should not change the answers once I select it.
The answer was.
To lower the probability of a collision, try to maintain at least one car width of space to one side of your vehicle at all times. When possible, it is best to maintain space on both sides of your vehicle. When you must drive through an area with less than one car width of space on the sides, reduce your speed to allow more space to the front.
DDC update
Well,
I have 6 of the 8 units done. I missed 2 of the 60 questions and have 20 questions to go. I can make excuses but it comes down to not reading and just skimming through the material. I should have never got the 2 wrong that I did , but laziness and lack of interest prevailed. Shame on me.
I would say that people should retake drivers tests biannually, but what good is it? Most of it is common sense and people can’t even follow that.
The course tells you not to speed up if someone is passing you. Come on, do you really need to tell someone that!
Back to the DDC
Well I made it through another unit. Second guessed and got 2 wrong. It may be the way the question was worded but never the less I go t 2 wrong. 8-|
I am sure it stated the road was devided so I said the traffic going in same direction as the EV must yield.
Correct answer was.
Drivers must yield the right–of–way to emergency vehicles. You must always listen for sirens on these vehicles, as they are usually heard before the emergency vehicle is in view. To yield the right–of–way, all traffic, in either direction, must slow down, pull to the right of the road, and stop until the emergency vehicle passes.
Here I figured I would treat the bike as a car. but they would rather me scare the shit out of the cyclist with the horn!
Correct answer was.
As you approach a bicyclist, adjust your speed and position. Slow down and create a wide space. Do not pass if the road is too narrow for you to pass safely. Do not pass them if you cannot safely move out of your lane. Be patient and follow them at a distance until it is safe to pass. From a distance, communicate your intentions to pass by signaling with a tap on your horn. Do not get up close behind a bicyclist and use your horn.
Happy New Year.
I posted to face book early yesterday and forgot to post to my normal blog. I apologize to my one reader. 😳
