I am almost done with the pond. I rearranged the falls and the pumps. I placed different vegetation in the bogs to see if they survive. Just need to hide the pump tube heading to the bog and then I am done.
Spent some time with Freckles. She notices the difference of having someone around all the time compared to our household where we are not just sitting on the couch. She craves attention, but is still behaving very well. She is turning out to be a very good dog. I think over time Susan will bond with her. Had the Wednesday night .
Found that the meat/veggie crisper froze veggies again. Spent the evening cleaning vegetables and cooking some of them up. The pond is clear and water running fine. Need to do a little more rock work to hid the pipe. Finally sat down at 8 and watched two shows on PBS. The first was The Suicide Tourist I found it to be a excellent documentary. The second was Mountain Talk, it was a film about the culture and linguistic heritage of Southern Appalachian residents. Looked up some info on Brown Recluse spiders.
Finished the pipe work today and took some pictures. Threw some plants in containers. Then got out of the heat! The water is circulating fine and the result is satisfactory. I really should have made the pond deeper. I started looking up Bog plants and information to see if there is anything real interesting. I do like the pitcher plant. I need to see if they will do well in this area.
