Sad day. Long day traveling. We are not sure how everything went and wonder if she knows how much we really do care about her and love her. We are both glad to be home and able to sleep in our own bed, except we miss the family more than ever with everything that is going on. I know it is necessary to keep a stiff upper lip and deal with it all until the end. Then there will be time to break down and deal with the emotional stuff. It sure is tough at times. Hope to see her one more time before she is gone, but I know that is just wishful and selfish thinking. 🙁

Well it has been a very fast 10 days. Exhausting and I do not feel I have accomplished anything. Medical people attempt to be helpful but many of them do not seem to know their job! I guess it is the same in all professions. I will continue to read over the policies trying to deliver the best options to mom. The health roller coaster has been interesting. Before we came, we were told 2-4 months. Our first week there we were told 2 weeks, look at putting her in a home(this will not happen if I can help it). Today they said as well as she is it may be 6 months. I know they just guess but it is a emotional roller coaster for some of the family. Only time will tell!

I have been reading medicare and insurance policies everyday trying to find a way to keep her in the house as long as possible. Have a call out to the doctor to see if we can stop Hospice and use the insurance in the future.

I was able to make time today and spend it with my parents. They are doing good. It was nice to spend the day with them, it took my mind off all the life / death polices. The whole cancer and medical thing is defiantly exhausting for everyone! I will try to make time in the evenings to play cards as we only have 2 days left here.

What the hell is it with old people? They pay health and life insurance premiums for years and years. Then just before they are needed or can be cashed in they stop paying the premium and there is nothing there! Sure is frustrating. We need to find a way to keep the premiums being pad so the damn companies stop making all the money without having to pay out in the end! Make um PAY! The underclass pays and pays out of the little that they have and the upper class takes advantage of them right through death. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!
