Still waiting on the foundation engineer. I also put in two calls for the geothermal heat pump.

Still waiting to hear back from the foundation engineer. We should hear back this week. Then we pay um and get the plan for the builder. It should basically be rebar and excavation from what I have read.

I have been thinking about the house over the last few days. It just occurred to me that these are still my plans. I had a feeling of hope. I hope this all turns out as planned. Once the house is completed and if everything goes correctly, I will be proud of myself again. It has been a long time since that has been the case, but I think I should be after this accomplishment.
If the house is complete by September 4th, our anniversary and house fire date. I will have accomplished the followkng in less than 1 year.
1 I made it through the mental part of the fire.
2 I designed and drew up my own house plans
3 I created an energy efficient and comfortable home
4 I had a builder and associated entities use these plans to build a house
5 I was a subcontractor for part of the house build
6 We moved into this energy efficient home that I designed and had built.

It occurred to me most people look for houses, pick plans for houses or have someone design and draw the plans up.
I also know that some people do what i have, but actually not that many. I think it is so dramatic for me because I have been dreaming of doing this most of my life. Only now has it been possible.

Again, I look forward to moving into the house I designed and subcontracted the building of.
