doors

Builder was out today and we talked with the excavation crew. It looks like we may have numbers to go to the bank next week. I hope to break ground no later than May 31. It will be about 2 weeks excavation, two weeks foundation, two weeks walls, two weeks stubbing and sealing, the roof goes on and doors and widows are set. Then we can live in the roughed out house.

Finished paying off the doors today.

Lots of nothing

I ended up with a lot of nothing being done.  I need to let it go as training.

I ended up with two pipes a few inches short.  They looked good when I started but when I cut the 3 5Degrees off of them they were too short. 🙁
I guess I will get it done next weekend.as I ran out of time to start over.  The  chop saw worked rather nicely and I created a wood measure jig to speed up the process.

Today I put tow pipes together.  The the best looking but it was strong.

Using an inexpensive little portable welder.

Blades

I succeeded at welding two pieces of t post together. Not the best weld, but a weld at that.

I cut one of the pipes to length and went through two blades to do it. I made a trip to the depot to get some blades or an alternate method. I ended up with chop blades for the miter saw and it looks like the way to go. I will try them tomorrow.
I sealed the south side of the shop with tar where I think it has been leaking. We will see.
