What a messed up day!

I brought my dad to the clinic for his surgery and they told me he will be here all morning. I had foolishly scheduled an appointment for me at 1130a thinking it would be enough time since the last one was only about 15 minutes.
Nurse said when scheduled it would be for the morning. Damn, I wouldn’t have scheduled mine then. I left dad after the briefing from the doctor and headed to my appointment an hour north in Temple. Dropped the car in valet parking and got my visitor sticker then head d to check in on floor 4. Then after checked in headed to the 3rd floor for appointment. I asked the status at the desk and was told he is running behind. She checked the new time and it was moved to 130p. I asked if I can do a telephone visit as it would be a 3 hour wait and I needed to drive an hour back to pick up my dad from his appointment. The nurse and I talked and all appears to be going good. No clue about the dry or numb lower lip. He will call me later today. I headed down and picked up my car. Went to home Depot and picked up the toilet parts then headed back to the clinic where Dad is. I checked on his status and he is standing by to get his stitches out in.
I proceeded to the waiting and typed this up.
He hasn’t been released yet.

The pain pills have been working. I have reduced to you one and it appears to be keeping up. I hope tomorrow is the last day they are needed.

Most of the tooth pain is gone. It is either getting better or the pain pills have kicked in.

All went ok yesterday. Wake up at 445 and to the hospital before 530. Checked in, went to room, surgery at 730 and was into recovery just after 8. Left the hospital between 845 and 9. Meds were not ready when we got to HEB, but it turns out that they weren’t sent there anyway. Went home and laid around. Looks to be what I will be doing today also. Relaxing and laying around.

Yesterday was very frustrating. Worked on finding a loan from 830a through most of the day. It was about 7 hours and no loan has been found to fulfill our needs.

Today was an interesting day. It stated at 1030 a with the trip to the DPS office in Georgetown to renew our driver’s license starting at noon. We did not bring our birth certificate, but we had the star on our license so it was a real ID and we should have been ok. Nope! The new standard started in 2019 and ours were issued in 2018. We were required to go home and get proof of citizenship. We drove the hour and grabbed our passports and headed back. That’s about 2 hours round trip. Our appointment was late creating an appointment and trip time of 4 hours to renew our driver’s license. We Left DPS and headed to Temple for my surgery tomorrow. We arrived at the hotel at 315p.

Tomorrow starts at 445a as my surgery is scheduled for 530a.
