Today is the 8th day of the cruise and the 9th day of the trip.

Overall it has been good. A few set backs with one that irritated many other passengers.

On the first day we found out that the excursion for Nicaragua had been canceled and the pot will not be in the itinerary. This was the highlight to Susan’s trip as it had the volcano 🌋. We tried not to let it impact the trip.

We requested a coffee pot and they delivered one rather quickly, this is standard but helps guage the service.

The next morning we setup a replacement excursion for Costa Rica.

Next when we arrived in Colombia we took out planned excursion and it did not actually include entering the fortress. It was frustrating, but again it shouldn’t set the tone of the trip.

When we returned we found that we were encountering ship problems and it impacted the AC. This was uncomfortable until late evening. We were told we would have an update in the morning.

In the morning we were informed that we would be in port till 5pm. This would create some impact on the trip and commonly not a positive one.

For us we took a cab to the fortress and did a self tour taking many pictures and then took a cab back to the port.

The additional adjustment create a new non interesting port at Colon Panama and removed the post of Costa Rica. This change dropped the newly added excursion, very frustrating, but again trying not to have it create a negative vibe for the trip.

The coffee for the room ran out on day 6 of the cruise, that is ridiculous, but we will continue to request it in the event they get more as it saves the early trip to get coffee in the morning.

At this point we have decided that the food on this trip is not as good as previous cruises on NCL and Carnival.

Wow what an adventure in the first 8 days. We believe and hope it gets better.
