Trying to relax today. I ended up putting the feeder back in the run. Then loaded the wire racks in the atv that arrived yesterday, followed by vacuuming and sweeping, fixing the kitchen sink drain, organizing my shoes and helping Susan set her computer for tomorrow.

Headed to Houston to see Kathy and the Stones at 8a. We arrived at 10a and had a good visit. The visit ran longer than expected as we left at 630p. The driving was 2.5 hours each way although I always thought it was 2. Nevertheless the visit was good and drive not too bad.

The kids were great and we all hope to visit again sooner than later.

Lost the black Cockrell last night 🌙, although I have no clue to what or how.

Our current flock consists of 22 birds.
5 standard hens
5 bantam hens
1 rooster
3 Cockrells
8 birds which we think is 6 pullets and 2 Cockrells.

We had heavy rains at the farm between 8a and 10a that confirmed the chickens food tubes are sealed. That will reduce food problems and make feeding them a little easier.

That was a big plus in the day today.

The day began normal with taking care of the chickens and then accompanying mom on her trip to Sam’s. We arrived and curbside was available, but the store was closed due to a broken water pipe.

On our return we stopped for gas and then stopped at Walmart and headed to Chloe’s house to drop off her groceries. Then headed we home. Whoops, forgot a pick up and drop off at Taylor BSW, so we headed back to chloe’s and then back to Taylor. Then we headed back home. Kind of a long morning.
