Furnace

The heat pump at Minolia:s stopped working in Wednesday. I went over on Saturday and looked at the thermostat and inside unit. I wiggle drain pan float, but never opened the unit. Monday I looked at the outside unit and only saw geko bodies all over. I tried resetting by powering off the units. Nothing worked.

Monday I checked on my appointment with the company in temple and they now haveca $133 travel fee. I’m not using them. I called a place in Taylor and the scheduled for Tuesday. They ended coming out on Monday afternoon about 4pm.

He went in we turned on the breakers. He jiggled the float and the furnace started. SOB!

Great guy. We talked and he confirmed the thermostat was not th he correct one and after some testing we concluded it was the drain pan float.

I ordered the parts and will replace them.

System appears that it has always ran on electric heat and not th he heat pump! That explains why the comfort company went out of business.
