3 Guinea hens got out last night. I went out at sunup and finished wrapping the cage with chicken wire. All hens were back in the cage before we left.

When we arrived back in town I cleaned up some old dog beds. I cut them up and added them to another bed, then sewed it up.

Cleaned up a mess and fixed up another dog bed.

Win. Lol

Well, I healed enough to work on the pen today. We redid the top rails and the finished screening the cage. We set the door and screened it also. The pen is 95+% done.

We can move the coop in tomorrow and start using it. All that remains is additional wire ties and adjust the door.

The 23rd went ok and we worked again on the 24th. Not so smooth on the 24th. We made good progress, but the day was cut short. One of the top bars broke and came crashing down. Luckily it did not hit Dad, but unfortunately it did hit me. From 8 foot it smacked me on the back of e head. It also hit e back of my neck and back of my leg on the way to the ground. Within a minute or so the egg had grown do I dashed to the house and put ice on it. It helped reduce the swelling and may have helped with other issues. Nevertheless the work day was done. On Christmas I was not allowed to work. The day after Christmas we headed home.
