You mentioned a courtesy interview. I stated it was not a fair practice and it should not be done. That said, I think if she is qualified she should get an interview. This allows her to put her best foot forward and would allow you to evaluate her skills against the other candidates.
Life is tough enough that shit like this should not be part of it.
