Had the electrical evaluation this morning. When he came in he smelled gas. I called gas emergency line. He showed up and tagged all 3 gas appliances with these tags. He shut off the gas until they can be repaired.
The gas tests revealed a bad leak at the water heater that required replacing the pipes to fix it.
The stove has a bad regulator and will not be fixed for a few days. This makes it unusable.
The final check was the furnace in the attic.
The tech entered the attic and the tester start freaking out before he started testing the seal. He identified the gas levels at 4% – 5% and evacuation level is 4% as the house could ignite at that level. Hmmm, can you say living in a bomb?
Ok why is all of that relevant? We had the builder come check this out in August as we had concerns. It was looked over and all was said to be fixed. I would not say the current results would consider it fixed then or now.
