Gas is finally under $2.00. It has been over $2 since May 2009!

When was the last time gas was under 2 dollars a gallon?

In November 2008, 30 states in the US sold gas at under $2 a gallon. This was the first time gas had fallen below $2 a gallon since March 2005. It didn't last long though. By May of 2009 the national average climbed above $2 a gallon again and has never dipped below $2 since.
