Status update

Michael,

I didn't get a chance to visit with you when I was out on Friday, but I wanted
to give you an update on the house.

As you can see, we are nearly complete with the bagging and trenching.  I have
asked Hector to deliver another load of material this week to make sure we have
enough for each of the pads.  Delivery is scheduled for Monday, but weather may
put that off a day or so.

In the meantime, the guys will begin tying the steel cages for the beams.  We
won't be setting the steel in the trenches until the underslab plumbing rough is
complete, but we can at least have them ready and staged.

I will be out this week (backpacking with my children in Big Bend National
Park).  I've asked Lorin to oversee the project in my absence.  I'll be back
either Monday (7 Jan) or Tuesday (8 Jan), depending on how well we can read a
compass .

My plumber should be ready to start then as well.

We leave for Big Bend on Tuesday.  If you need to contact me, I can be reached
by cell phone, up until the time we start driving up into the mountains. 
Wed-Sat I'll be completely incomunicado, but I don't foresee any major
issues arising that Lorin can't handle.

The bed was not as bad as I slept diagonal in the bed last night. Hope it is the same tonight.

I leveled the bed frame and flipped the mattress yesterday hoping I would get a better nights sleep. Unfortunately it was a terrible nights sleep and I hope I sleep better tonight.

The Prius does not use keys. It just uses a the FOB itself. I had ir on the 21st and was not able to find it. I was going crazy as it costs about 400 to replace it and the car will not start without it. Sure miss the old car keys at this point. I took another few hours looking for it today and finally found it. It had fallen on the floor and was kicked under a stand. Just glad to have found it.
