I laughed my ass off at these statements

…”He is coming to talk about the economy and businesses in Manitowoc that are true leaders in economic development,” said city of Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels Tuesday.
AND
“The reason he is coming here is the economy and shows Manitowoc is ahead of the curve on a lot of things,” Nickels said.

I find it interesting how we have been unable to sell a house almost 10% under market value in a great location and so many people can not find employment, but Nickels makes these statements. Come on! Choose better statements for the country to read. 8-} Doesn’t he realize that most news is global these days? You made the town look like a bunch of fools! =D>

I called around and found that some Kia Souls did have a recall on the thermostat, at least that is true. I sure wish they would have done a better job as they fixed something that was not broke and instead of fixing it they broke it!
L & M Auto of Bastrop just picked up the car. He is Hauling it to South Point Kia for correction of the recall repairs. I just called SPK and told them it was coming. He said they will call me tomorrow to let me know the status.
I hope they have it fixed bu 4 PM tomorrow to redeem their selves!
I asked him to check it for any other damage that may have occurred from the faulty install of the thermostat.
Now we wait!

I must start off that the car is loved by my wife and I have thought that it has been good also. Today we had an issue with the thing almost overheating on the way home.
I remember the leak yesterday but it seemed to be water. Today after the close call of the over heat I crawled under the car to find it sweet and slippery. Yep antifreeze! I called Westside Kia to see what would cause it since we only had a wire harness and oil change. She stated according to the records it had a thermostat and coolant change also. WHAT? WHY I asked. I was not told about it before or after. She said that the mechanic is out but will call me in the morning. I am pissed! We did not have a single problem with the car and after a recall and standard oil change I have leaking coolant and the car gets real hot close to over heating. I cannot wait to hear this one from them.
My biggest fear is that damage occurred and they somehow try to blame it on me. Hell they might not inform me of it until it is out of warranty or it damages something that is not covered.

I must have pissed on someone to have Carma taking a shit on my parade!
I guess I will hear something tomorrow.

We went to Katy today after dropping off the Altima at the shop to get the rotors re-turned. It was a nice drive to Katy. The sun came out for a bit on the way there and then stayed out later after we arrived.
We dropped off the Soul for the recall repair, the ignition key re-cutting and an oil change. Our friend was there to pick us up so we could spend some time together.
We hopped in the car and he took us to his house. It was a nice place, bigger than I expected as it looks small from the outside. It is in a good quiet location close to everything you would need. Some small repairs and some paint and the place would be great. I was glad we got to go tot the house. 🙂
We then headed to a restaurant Los Cucos Mexican Cafe. Of course as it was just after noon I had to see if they had any margarita specials. To my surprise they did. They had MUG Ritas for $1.59. It was like a double Rita at a price we could not resist. As we were there for a good long visit I was able to have two and would have like to have a few more. We had a great visit and some real good food. I would defiantly go here again.
After our visit we returned and picked up the car. After arriving back to Bastrop we Stopped in and picked up the Altima as we arrived back just before 6PM.
I made a few calls checking on family, as I normally do daily. 🙂 Everyone is fine, I love to hear that everything is fine.
I spent some time with Susan before she had to head to bed and I will watch a little TV before I head to bed.

I did not do much today. The rain continued and we only accomplished picking out paint for the bathroom. The bath has been pink since we moved in back in 2001. It will be yellow once we work on the project. The white tiles may change or we will just mend the 6 tiles and green board that needs repair. The tile change will be figured out, but the painting does not need to wait. We head to Katy near Houston tomorrow. That pretty much sums it up.
